Choosing A Metal For Your Engagement Rings
Currently there are two metals in jewelry market for engagement rings, White Gold and Platinum.

White Gold is combined with pure gold and alloy. It comes in 18K and 14K. The white gold finished engagement rings are coated with "Rhodium" which is a solution for making the white gold whiter.

Platinum is a unique and expensive metal verses white gold. It has a natural white color that you can notice it when you hold the two white gold and the platinum rings next to each other, without the Rhodium coated. Usually they are both Rhodium coated. Platinum is heavier than white gold because of its density.
